Point is, every QB in this thread is an incomplete QB right now. Trying to rank them after two years is lunacy. Bortles on the Vikings last year wouldn't have made the playoffs, and Teddy on the Jags last year wouldn't have thrown for 35 TDs. They are very different QBs, on very different teams, with very different supporting casts, being asked to do very different things. Trying to definitively say either is better right now is just stupidity.


Until Teddy shows more in the vertical passing game (he has shown some impressive flashes of that potential), and until Blake reins in his boneheaded game throwing plays (which his red zone TD:INT rate shows is possible also) they are simply completely different but probably pretty equal QBs. Hopefully they both do cause they're both super easy to root for.


We think that Blake has now been given the defense, run game, and oline that he will be counted on to take that next step so we better get the answer on his development this year. The Vikings will still be leaning on the run game as long as they have an all time great at RB and perhaps the most pathetic WR corps in the league so we probably won't get the answer for sure on Teddy for a little longer.
