If he lines up outside, is he playing man against the slot, or is he in zone?

 

With a lesser athlete, that question is not asked nearly as often.  The lesser athlete, I would presume, is put in zone underneath to try to minimize his liability in coverage, or in man he is exploited in coverage, if not taken out of the game in passing situations.

 

With Jack, we could run base personnel in nickel situations.  It would be like having a FS with corner cover skills, only the impact would be felt more in underneath coverage.
