Yeah, I really didn't follow it that closely when it happened, as a matter of fact I have probably followed what happened with him more since this thread than at the time. I did see a few interesting things when I googled it today after your post. First, there was an article about how Scouts inc gave him a 6th round grade, but the article focused on the probability of him actually getting drafted. I thought for a second that was a bit overboard til I saw it was 538, Nate Silver's stats site. But it also linked to a few articles on how he had dropped significantly on a number of boards since he had come out. Have to say, though, my recollection was he had a lousy combine but most folks still thought he would be drafted. In reviewing old articles, I have to admit I was a bit surprised by how many anonymous NFL sources thought his being gay would impact his draft status. I still think he hasn't made his mark because he was too much of a tweener, but the 'gay' angle wasn't as irrelevant as I thought it would have been.
