He said that he identifies with his religion first, and as an American second.  I wonder how the reaction would be if Shad Khan had said this.

 

Actually, there are many people that believe this way in this country.  "God, Family, Country" is pretty common.  I know that there are many like you that oppose religion, especially if it happens to be a certain one.  The fact of the matter is that one's beliefs helps to guide their decisions in life.  I don't find faith in a certain religion to be a negative when I choose a candidate, especially if that particular faith teaches lessons that I am aligned with.

 

I don't want to turn this discussion to religion since it would violate the CoC on this forum, but I will argue that his beliefs are not really a problem for this country.  I highly doubt that he wants to turn our government into a theocracy and have seen no evidence to back up that claim.
