Charlie Casserly believes Bosa is better a prospect than Clowney, Ansah, and Leonard Williams

#1

I have to believe this is the guy the Jags are targeting at 5, the problem is Dallas will likely take him at 4. A Dallas beat writer (as recently as last week) said the Cowboys  "definitely aren't taking Bosa", which leads me to believe they're targeting him at 4, remember when Ryan O (last year) said the Jags are "definitely not taking Dante Fowler"? Dallas and Jacksonville both need edge rushers in the worst way, and Joey Bosa is clearly the best edge rusher in this class, it would make sense for Dallas to send out "we're definitely not on Joey Bosa" propaganda as they have to fear Jacksonville trading up to the 3 spot to secure Bosa. If there was ever a year to "move up" this would be the year, I love Myles Jack as a prospect, but it's much easier to find a speedy sideline to sideline linebacker than a truly dominant edge defender, draft day can't get here fast enough.

<p style="background-color:transparent;">NFL Media analyst Charley Casserly indicated that he believes Ohio State DE Joey Bosa is better than a number of recent high defensive picks, including Jadeveon Clowney.

"Some people will say he's not an elite player; shouldn't be taken [as high as No. 4]. To me he's better than Ziggy Ansah, who (was drafted) around that point, he's better than Leonard Williams, who should've gone by that point in the draft." Casserly's big kicker came when comparing Bosa to Jadeveon Clowney, though. Said the analyst, "And guess what? He's a safer pick and will be more productive than Jadeveon Clowney has been. That answers that question [of whether the Cowboys should consider Bosa] to me." Pro Football Focus analyst Wes Huber has referred to the 6-foot-5, 269-pounder as "the true definition of the overall package." One top-5 team he could theoretically fit with, the Jaguars -- he visited them on Tuesday.
