I could not disagree more strongly.  

 

First of all, you are saying a guy who was Pac-12 Freshman of the Year at both linebacker and running back is unable to rush the passer?   That makes no sense.   I suspect the reason he didn't rush the passer at UCLA was because he was so good in coverage. 

 

Secondly, Poz at MLB needs to be off the field in passing situations.  

 

Thirdly, Skuta was nursing a groin injury for a lot of the year and was not called upon to rush the passer. 

 

Fourth, as mention in (2) while Poz isn't good at pass coverage, neither is Telvin.   Jack excels in pass coverage to the point that a lot of people think he could line up at strong safety.   At UCLA, they sometimes used him to cover a slot WR.  

 

To sum up, Myles Jack brings a skill set that is completely missing on this team.   So to say, "he doesn't fit our defense" is absurd.   If our coaching staff cannot find a spot on our defense for Myles Jack, they're not qualified to coach high school football.
