I'm not saying you compared him to a DE.

 

In fact that's the point.  You DIDN'T draw the distinction between a LB/DB blitzing and a DE rushing the passer.

You have since clarified that you don't think he's a particularly good blitzer, but using the term "pass rusher" generically (you weren't the only one in this thread, FWIW) for players playing positions with at least two different and distinct skill sets doesn't adequately describe Jack, whether you like him as a prospect or not.

 

Penalizing a MLB or SS for not having a good rip move or bull rush is patently unfair.
