Unless they were afraid of someone else moving up to #1. That was an expensive move for the Rams. They better be sure about who they are taking. When St. Louis called the teams in the top 5, they could probably tell who was sold on a player by how willing they were to move out of the top 5. They probably found that the Browns weren't all that willing and figured they'd have to move up to 1 to get their guy. |
