Of course it's an object, if he's wanting ridiculous money we don't want to risk paying him a crazy figure and not being able to sign one of our guys in a year or two.

 

I'm happy for them to look into it and putting an offer down but don't go wild, have a limit like they did with Vernon and back out if it gets stupid.

 

There's a reason the Panthers couldn't get a long-term contract done with him.
