Last year was Luck's rookie season. The Colts let him play pretty much like they did with Peyton Manning's rookie year - i.e. they let him sling the rock with no training wheels. In both cases, yes, there was a lot of INT's but thats to be expected with a large number of pass attempts. 

 

IMO, the problem is this season is unlike with Manning where they continued to let him sling it - this years Colts team with Pep Hamilton has been much more reserved philosophically than it was under Arians. Luck is not benefitting from that. Some people saw it coming before the year even started. 

 

Then add to it that they lost Wayne and their running game stinks....and its not a surprise to see Luck struggling this season.
