I don't believe in trading valuable assets for players who are needing or demanding a big contract. That seems like double paying for the guy. Not only would we give up a high draft pick, we would also have to give him a free agent sized contract.
So, no. No way. For what we would be giving up in this deal, we could get two players- 5th pick in the draft plus a high priced free agent. I would be very much opposed to this kind of deal. |
