Mike Silver- there is "some sense" the Chargers will select Ronnie Stanley at 3

Quote:Agreed, you have Phillip Rivers who has played behind one of the worst offensive lines in football over the past 3-4 years. Give him some help, they added the speedy Travis Benjamin in free agency, give Rivers some time to get the ball to him down the field by selecting a stud pass protector.

  This certain is my viewpoint.

Though the Chargers have been hit hard by injuries on their Offensive Line in recent years,  they don't have anyone on their roster that's even close to being a high level pass blocking LT.

Overall,  if the Chargers have a good draft and are much more fortunate with injuries this season than in 2015,  they look like a team that can have a major rebound.  Providing of course their stadium situation doesn't become a major distraction again.
