Imagine you somehow had a time machine and you could go ten years into the future and look back at the careers of Jalen Ramsey and Joey Bosa.

 

Ramsey, playing at safety, has a Hall of Fame career - perpetual pro-bowler, utterly dominant year in year out.

 

Bosa has a good career, putting up somewhere around 8-12 sacks a season and generally being regarded as a good pass rusher. Maybe he makes the occaisional pro bowl in there too.

 

My question is, if you had that information (i.e. exactly what type of players they would become in the pros), who would you pick in the draft?

 

It comes down to the value of the position... Is a B+ pass rusher more helpful to a team than an A++ safety? Should the specific short team needs of the Jags influence this decision?

 

(BTW, I'm not predicting the careers of these players because I'm no professional scout, my question is about the value of certain positions over others)
