 That certainly would be the case if this scenario became a reality.   My guess is no one would be more thrilled than Adrian Peterson,  who will be 29 years old next season.

 

 If Jay Cutler hit the open market,  two teams in particular that I think would make him substantial offers are the Vikings and Jets.  The Vikings don't have a long term solution at QB on their roster.  After 3 straight seasons of getting losing caliber QB play with a roster that's strong in some key areas,  the Jets are likely going to try to make a bold move at the QB position.

 

 If Cutler receives the Franchise Tag,   it wouldn't surprise me in the least if the Bears and Jets work out a trade for Cutler.   While the two teams face each other in 2014,  I don't think that would stop the Bears from trading Cutler to the Jets.    It's likely a far better alternative from the Bears perspective than trading him to the one NFC North team that needs a starting QB.
