if these guys are as cheap as you think, then we could keep Poz and sign 5 of those guys.

 

I said players like those mentioned.  Hawk signed his deal the same year Poz signed his.  Cushing and Smith both signed deals this past offseason.  Cushing was a little far fetched, because he'll be averaging 7 or 8 million per year in his 3rd year.  Its more or less a similar deal to Poz'.  You could walk with young players like Bradley, Jordan, Spikes, or Angerer for less than 4 million per year next season or you could go with veterans like Vilma, Williams, Dansby, Smith, or even Fletcher for probably cheaper.  All of the above players can play at a similar level to Poz' current play and for half the price.

 

I don't get the man crush on Poz.  He was above average when he first got here and his play is slipping to that of an average MLB at best.  He's a sure tackler, but he gets bullied around and now he is missing fits this season.
