I'm surprised that no one has brought up the benefits of winning to the business of the Jacksonville Jaguars. While a handful of fans debate if it's better to win two or three games. or argue as to how many quarterbacks can dance on the head of a pin, there are thousands of people in Jacksonville who equate winning with success.

 

This team needs fans. Fans aren't going to buy into the argument that losing is really winning. Do you realize how many people out there, current or potential season ticket buyers, don't know who Teddy Bridgewater is? Do you realize how many people don't care where they draft, they just want to see the team win and get caught up in the excitement a winning team brings to a city.

 

At the time of the bye I was really dreading the Thursday night game. I was afraid the Jaguars would be 1-11, with the prospect of 30,00 people being at the game, and the team and city being open to the ridicule we've had to endure way too many times.

 

But guess what! Now I'm really looking forward to the game. A night game with a lot of energy and enthusiasm and an actual chance of winning. People are fired up and happy. For a 3-9 team that's all I can ask. And Shad Khan and the rest of us can have a smile on our face.
