Prior years the high expectations were unfounded.  This isn't prior years.

 

Yes, the rookies are gonna have a bit of a learning curve, but this is not an all rookie team.  The offense has legit weapons that have been together 2 or 3 years.  The defense picked up a FS that is a verteran that will help the secondary.  The LBers have a consimate professional in Poz and a stud player in Telvin Smith that will help Jack get ready for the NFL.  And the D-Line has Marks and Malik Jackson to look up to.

 

In my mind there are no excuses.  The wealth of talent we have is a mix of rookies and veterans.  

 

It's time to expect things from this team.  There are no more excuses anymore, in my mind. Dave Caldwell did his job.  Now it's time for the coaching staff to develop and sharpen this talent to be winners.

 

If the Jaguars were playing in the NFC west of 2013 I could understand tempered expectations, but the team isn't playing against that division, it's playing against the AFC South, one of the weakest divisions to ever disgrace the NFL shield. The time for excuses and losing is over, the Jaguars need to be the "out of nowhere" 12 win team in 2016, if they're not then it should be more than clear where the problem lies, and it isn't the roster or the fans.
