Quote:Explain auction please. Not sure what that entailsAuction draft - Everyonone has a set budget of $200 (not real cash). Everyone is assigned a nomination order instead of a draft order. 1st person nominates Gronkowski and starts with a bid of whatever. Highest bidder obviously wins. The elite players go between roughly $55-$60 but can go higher. From there the values drop off quickly. If I remember correctly, Bortles last year in the mock auction draft value was around $16. 2 things to note about auction draft. In a snake draft, most likely you would not be able to get the #1 and #2 top picks, in an auction draft it is possible to get those 2 players but at a cost. Also with auction draft you can have a bidding war to get somebody to spend their cash. Mock drafts is a must so you can see roughly the values of players. |
