I doubt that would happen and if it does, say hello to another recession.  One thing that is hampering The Fed right now is political season and it being an election year.  If one looks at basic fundamentals right now, the stock market as well as the overall economy is weak and in danger of another burst bubble.  The market is artificially pumped up right now and setting up for yet another huge decline.

So have you thought about what an interest rate hike would mean to business?  What would a rate hike mean to investment possibilities in the USA?  Why are we dependent on interest rates and not tax rates?  These are things that you never hear about if you didn't study it.  But I know, you guys really understand stuff based on Reaganomics and what they tell you on the Rush Limbaugh Fox News Entertainment news-cycle...  

 

Unfortunately, what you have been exposed to and indoctrinated into is not really 100 level college economic studies.  I know!  I know!!  College is aweful!!!  But, guess what?  All your republican heroes all studied it, and that's why they tell you one thing, and then do the exact opposite.

 

Did you know that Ted Cruz is a harvard graduate?  Did you know that he studied and believes in the basic economic principles that he campaigns against?  

 

They pray on your ignorance to get your votes.  Then they execute economic theory that you think is bunk.  You're being played as a fool.  The fact that you are on the outside of your own party and your own political ideology should provide you the opportunity to actually think about your beliefs in an existential way.
