Quick run down. It's a very in-depth world and while the new one is technically the 3rd, it's able to be picked up without being lost. I watched YouTube videos to recap the first 2.


Its a medieval setting, you play as Geralt, a Witcher. A Witcher is basically a genetically altered superhuman who acts as a type of mercenary or muscle for hire. You can use magic spells like mind control and fireballs.


Your whole purpose is to track down a girl named Ciri who is basically your adopted daughter. She can travel between dimensions and is being hunted by a group called the "Wild Hunt"


But outside of that there's so much side Story and just other things to explore and learn about the world. I've spent more time on a side Story in this game than some full length games.
