I'm done with low expectations.

Quote:I disagree. Houston and Indy are two solid teams. The Texans have an elite defense and our pass blocking was not horrible last year. Bottles had time to throw. The run blocking wasn't very good and it's that reason that attributed to the amount of sacks. It was easy for the opposing D-lines to rush the passer when you are one dimensional. O-line should be improved this year and with a decent rushing attack it should cut down on those sack numbers.it's year four in this process. The time to win is now and it should be expected that jags make playoffs or bust.Do as you will, but we've been playing in the weakest division in the NFL and Bortles has been getting sacked way too much. It's commendable that he hasn't gotten hurt... yet; plus you're using circular reasoning to explain why Bortles has been sacked so much. He's been sacked so much primarily due to poor blocking, not just poor run blocking but poor blocking overall. The left side of our o-line has been bad for years now! I expect to see the emphasis of next seasons draft to be put on seriously upgrading our o-line. What we have right now is just 'stop gap' guys on the line. Linder doesn't and won't impress anyone until he can stay healthy all season. I've no reason to have anything but low expectations for Joeckel. |
