His web shooters were a very minor annoyance. I've been through a few incarnations of Spidey and I've seen different explanations as to how they function through the years. I hated the Green Goblin in general...always have and always will. Spider-Man is a lot like Batman in that he has a large "rogue's gallery" and outside of a couple they are largely conceptually stupid (imo). At least they haven't tried to force Mysterio on us yet.

 

I have absolutely no qualm with PP being a nerd...for a long time he did skew nerd in the comics.
