He did a good job as Peter Parker. My complaint with Maguire was that he wasn't exactly Spidey in costume. I expect Spidey to do goofy things from time to time. He needs to constantly annoy his villains with jokes and one liners, to get under their skin. He needs to be confident in his costume, completely different persona from his actual life as Peter Parker.
