Most bad presidents have one or two things you can point to. Bush has one or two things EVERY YEAR you can point to!


9-11, patriot act, Katrina, the Iraq war, the financial meltdown, scooter Libby, the firing of district attorney's, the va scandal, torture, Abu Ghraib, and that's just off the top of my head...

9-11 - Not his fault at all, and I do think that he handled the situation correctly.

 

Patriot Act - I somewhat disagree with this policy, but as someone that works in the job that I do, I see the need for it.

 

Katrina - Again, the actual hurricane wasn't his fault.  The aftermath points more to the current "chocolate city" mayor who happens to be sitting in prison right now.

 

The Iraq War - Based on the intelligence that he was given at the time and authorized by Congress, he did the right thing.

 

The financial meltdown - That was not a direct result of any of his policies, rather policies that were put in place prior.

 

I could go on, and each of your points could be a separate debate.

 

The fact of the matter is, George Bush was exactly the right President at exactly the right time in history.  The alternatives (Gore and Kerry) probably would have been more of a train wreck than our current President.
