Questions to the board: Tipping Point Reached?

Quote:I'm of the opinion that given what Bradley has had to work with while here, he has clearly been 'hamstrung'. This is not to say that he's been faultless; but I think the main impediment to having a better win/loss record has been the overall lack of talent on the field. We saw the team starting to turn the corner in that respect on offense last season. With the improvments we now have on defense ( at least on paper...) this could translate into a much better season than we've previously experienced with Bradley as HC. I don't see us as super bowl contenders yet, nor would I even expect us to go very deep in the playoffs (if we were to get in). I do however think that we've enough talent on the field (on paper) on both side of the ball now that we should be able to reach a 'benchmark' level of at least an 8-8 record this season.

I would sugest that if the team fails to reach 8-8 then there is almost no choice but to take a hard look at the HC. Given what Khan has said about his expectation for this season, anything less than a .500 season would probably be grounds for letting Gus Bradley go... certainly at the end of the season and even possibly during the season if it becomes apparent early on we're not doing well.

I would be hard pressed to believe that we would not have a better record this season however... outside the possibility of catastrophic injuries taking place... However, it would be unfair to cut him until he's been given a decent chance to show everyone what he can do given the tools to work with. An 8-8 record (or better) and he should stay here longer; another losing season (especially given the improved talent on the field now) and he should be shown the door.
We are in lockstep agreement here.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!
