I think if you are going to be cynical/troll about a signing, this is one of the last persons you should do it on, IMO.  I say this having my share of crow to eat on Hurns.  I was reluctant to praise him early on because I thought his familiarity with Fisch's offense gave him a leg up on the other receivers new to the scheme, and I thought it possible that once the other players became acclimated to the scheme or that once the scheme changed and his experience/knowledge edge would dissipate, his comparative performance would decline accordingly.

 

But he has proven to be player enough to excel and outperform most irrespective of the system due to his work ethic, willingness to earn/be coached, toughness, and natural abilities.

 

I'm more than thrilled to be wrong on that bit of speculation, and Hurns, as much as anyone in this organization's history, epitomizes to me the Jaguars ideal.
