Adam Schein says 2016 is "make-or-break" season for Gus Bradley
|
This season is a win/win for Jags fans and the organization as whole, as this team certainly has enough talent to compete in the underwhelming AFC South, it will tell a lot about Gus's coaching aptitude or lack there of. Contrary to popular belief on this board, our schedule outside of the division isn't that difficult, outside of Aaron Rodgers, there isn't a QB on our schedule that "scares" me. Philip Rivers has obviously been a thorn in the Jags side for the better part of a decade now, but that Chargers team as a whole is bad. If the Jags manage to win 9-10 games, that proves Gus should be the man at the helm moving forward, if they underachieve and win 6-7 games, Gus should and will be fired at seasons end. Make no mistake about it, if Dave & Shad decide to move on from Gus, the Jaguars head coaching position will be one of the most attractive positions in all of professional sports. Given the amount of young (cost-controlled) talent on this roster, and a owner who's patient and is willing to spend money, the Jags should be able to hire whoever they want. This season will tell a lot about Gus, I personally believe he's a hell of a coach who has the rare ability to motivate and lead men, now that he has the requisite talent on the field, not only do I think the Jags will win this division, I think we'll a see a couple of games where they're truly "dominant" in the process.
