I think the most important thing that Gus has shown the last three seasons is a complete inability to adapt scheme to fit players. He clearly isn't an architect. If we're lucky he's a really good blueprint reader. If we're really lucky then he's a really good blueprint reader that managed to find all of the parts he needs to build someone else's plan.

 

Either way, though, it's clear that the best we can hope for is that he has a team full of all stars. Of course, with a team full of all stars we could have Barry Switzer and it would still work. I hope they find an upgrade to him soon, because I'd hate to see the 2016 Jaguars being the equivalent of the Chargers from 10 or so years ago. Considered to be a great roster, held down by piss poor coaching.
