Joeckel had more then 1 terrible game last year. He consistently gave up pressure and forced blake to rush pass after pass. Even if it wasn't pure sacks he rarely put together back to back passing plays where he legit held his own.


That lack of reliability gets into a QBs head no matter how good they are. At times you could see bortles staring him down after plays. Beachum on the other hand was blocking for big ben the most self sacking qb in the league. Ben consistently holds onto the ball for crazy amounts of time allowing for pressure to close in. Bortles does this too but no where near as bad so i see where the staff is going with their idea that its a similiar qb style he's used to but not as taxing.
