You'd just have a religion bashing thread every day from different posters, and then believers defending their belief system for whatever reason. Is someone going to really convert over a message board? Yeah there would be some people who may be over zealous, but I dont think the majority of those discussions would go down in that manner of trying to convert someone on a message board. i would look at it more along the lines of someone just going through a life changing event that they wanted to discuss it, I would think a more fruitful conversation would take place if someone wanted to genuinely praise their spiritual leader. Just my thoughts.............
Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.
