By 'solid', I mean no 'backdoor' wins via bizarre penalties or fluky last second 'hail Mary' plays and no embarrassing 'blowout' losses. No losses at all to teams we really should (at least on paper) have beaten. A .500 record built on pretty solid football would sure leave me feeling more positive about the long term expectations for this team. Fluke wins, while they count the same in the record books, don't inspire much confidence. We'll take it if that's what we get... but winning via good football is always better. this is my Mr. obvious post for the day. thank you. |
