Do I think it was the main factor? No.


Bradley and his staff could coach every technique flawlessly. They could study enough film and identify every single opponent tendency accurately. They could implement well designed plays and well conceived playbooks and game plans.


But if your guys don't have the talent to implement that coaching and put it on the field, the perception of coaching is going to suffer.


Bradley could call the right defensive play for the right down and distance scenario, but if his defensive line cannot defeat the pass blocking, if his defensive backs cannot either maintain zone integrity or consistently cover the opposing receiver, Bradley is going to look bad.


Olsen could call the right play with the right protection with the right route combination against a defense. How does he account for a bad shotgun snap? If he has a TE that couldn't block on a toss play to his side and the result is a huge loss, how is that on him? If we had receivers like we had in 2011, how does a coach work work around that deficiency?
