I know it's early, but what would a win against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers mean to you as a fan?

Quote:A win in week one would show me that this team is a legit playoff contender for this year and the years to come, and in some ways could be seen as a "passing of the torch" type of win. Pretty much, week 1 is a virtual playoff game that will define our whole season.

It would set the tone and raise the level of expectations for the rest of this season. Can't argue there. It's a good measuring stick for this roster. Green Bay is bolstered by a ton of veterans. They have an accomplished Quarterback in Rodgers. They're getting a healthy Jordy Nelson back who only makes Rodgers look even more better at his job. I'd say if we win this game by three points. It shows we're ready to fight with the big boys. If we win it convincingly. I'd say maybe. And I do mean MAYBE. Just maybe this team is ready to surpass the .500 mark this year and be taken seriously in the AFC. I am not as easily sold or convinced yet. But just the first four games alone are pretty brutal. And September will be the early telling of how this team's future will be shaping out in 2017 and beyond. Another losing season means the coaching staff is getting gutted. And that could also mean Caldwell goes or maybe stays too. And I actually want him to stay here as the General Manager.
