I was there last night and the positives that stand out in my mind are:

 
  • Bortles continued pocket presence/ability to improvise and complete passes downfield under pressure
  • Fowler.  A couple of hurries, a holding call forced and a stop for loss in his "debut" bode well for his future.
  • Joeckel at LG.  I was as skeptical as anyone and still am a bit, but he looked just fine there. 
  • Wash's coverage adjustments and aggressiveness.  The style of defense has a new intensity. More press coverage outside and seemingly more focus on QB pressure beyond just going all out on third down. 
  • The return games of Grant and Ramsey Greene, though it was rather expected. 
  • Cyprien looked marginally better.  Had good coverage on the TE a few times and even the TD to Thomas was a perfect  fade pass by Bortles dropped beyond the safety's reach.  There are some CBs out there that may have defended it  - but very few strong safeties.
