Hi, Jaguars fans! Our Jacksonville Jaguars are back on the playing field tonight as they are in East Rutherford, New Jersey to play their first preseason game with the host New York Jets for the first time in three years . Jaguars finished 2-2 during their 2015 NFL preseason.


Tonight will be the first game the Jaguars 2016 Draft Class take the field against the Jets, including Brandon Allen, Tyrone Holmes, Miles Jack, and Yannick Ngakoue,, and First Round and #5 overall pick Jalen Ramsey.


Veteran acquisitions acquired by the Jaguars during the 2016 offseason includes Prince Amukamara,, MacKenzy Bernadeau, Tashaun Gipson, Chris Ivory, Malik Jackson, and Brad Nortman.Jaguars also re-signed backup QB Chad Henne.


Jaguars seek to avenge their loss from their last preseason visit at the Jets. New York Jets defeated Jacksonville 37-13 in both teams second preseason game back on August 17, 2013. More recently, the Jets also defeated the Jaguars in the last regular season meeting by the score of 28-23 also at MetLife Stadium, following their bye week on November 8, 2015.


WJXT Sports Director Sam Kouvaris, and former Jaguars QB Mark Brunell are providing the live TV commentary on WJXT Channel 4 in Jacksonville, and the Jaguars Preseason TV Network.


Frank Frangie returns to the Jaguars Radio Network as the lead play-by-play broadcaster, along with game analysts and former Jaguars linemen Jeff Lageman and Tony Boselli, on Jaguars games for their 2016 NFL season,on flagship stations WJXL 1010XL AM, and 92.5 FM, and WGNE 99.5FM in Jacksonville.


A mixture of scattered thunderstorms and cloudy skies at 87 degrees, feels like 94 degrees, is the game forecast inside MetLife Stadium in the New Jersey Meadowlands for the 7:35 Eastern Standard Time kickoff, along with 34% precipitation, 63% humidity, and mild southwest winds at 8 miles per hour.


NO injuries to all the players on both sidelines, as both the Jaguars and Jets players, the rookies, and free agents, are competing for the 53-man regular season roster during the preseason. GO JAGUARS!!!!
