That was the beginning of it, and it was under Raygun. And deficits truly began taking off under that traitor.


It continued on with HW Bush and Clinton, but the conservative vision that brought us here began under that guy.

 

Trade was balanced when Reagan left office. It was balanced with HW. It was balanced until Clinton implemented and enforced NAFTA (which HW did sign as well, so he deserves blame too, those darn Bushies).  Deficit spending is fine if you have the economic growth to back it up. It is literally how businesses work. It worked with Reagan, HW, and Slick Willy. It stopped working with GW, and exploded under Obama.
