Basically the theory is that Gandalf made a plan with the eagles after they rescued him to fly the ring from Moria to Mordor. He didn't tell anyone to try keep it as secret as possible. The eagles live near Moria so when he gets taken by the Balrog he shouts "Fly you fools" to try tell them plan. All links in with the Eagles rescuing Frodo at the end.
