Best Concert You Ever Attended
|
Hard to pick just one. One of my favorites was David Lee Roth in '86 at the Lakeland Civic Center. I had just started playing guitar myself, and after the first few minutes of seeing Vai and Sheehan dominate their fretboards, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go home and burn my guitar, or pick it up and never put it down.
Earlier this year I saw another guitar hero of mine, Andy Timmons, at a club in Ft Lauderdale. His set was fantastic, then while watching the next guitarist perform (Jennifer Batten), I turned to see Andy standing next to me watching the show. He was gracious enough to talk to me for a few minutes, and we both geeked out over Jennifer's playing. It was surreal to be hanging with Andy like he was just another fan. |
