Here is my own pre-regular season mock draft. Obviously the players are going to change throughout the year but it is more of a needs based draft. I consider our biggest needs going into the season as:

 

1. Starting LG

2. Starting SS

3. Oline depth

4. 3rd LB (as Poz is nearing the end)

 

 

Round 1. Jamal Adams SS LSU- Cyp isn't the answer at SS for us. Adams adds a playmaker to the secondary and will pair nicely with Gipson.

 

Round 2. Dan Feeney G Indiana- We absolutely (at this point) have to come away with one of the top 2-3 guards in the draft. Joeckel will be gone at the end of this year and no one on the roster is starting level. Feeney, Linder, and Cann will start for the next decade.

 

Round 3. Josh Carraway LB TCU- Add another athletic LB to the corps along with Jack and Smith. Carraway along with Adams in round 1 puts the finish touches on a rebuilt defense. 

 

Round 4. Adam Bisnowaty OT Pitt- Backup LT for Beachum and will provide quality depth.

 

Round 5. Tyrique Jarrett DT Pitt- Big DT to start grooming behind Miller.

 

Round 6. Brian Allen OC/OG Mich State- Can play both center and guard and should grow into a primary back up.

 

Round 7. Brandon Facyson CB VT- I don't see Prince staying around to be the dime CB. Facyson was a really good player as a freshman but injuries have slowed down his development. Potential sleeper here.
