Professors tell students: Drop class if you dispute man-made climate change
|
Quote:College has always been a study of professors. Read their published works and spend the semester regurgitating it. Get an A and learn nothing. Quote:Thank you for the comprehensive review of my life, which you know absolutely nothing about. How do you conclude I "hate" on a college education because I had a successful method of obtaining one? And my "safe space" after college was working as a meat cutter. Those are your words above. You clearly made a statement that shows you have no respect for the University Education. First off, I want to apologize for my personal attack on you. It was a punk move on my part and I apologize. There's no need for me to go after you like I did. With that said, I find it frustrating that the argument is being made that education is bad, or not beneficial to society. Without Universities, we'd not have the society we currently have. The infrastructure for technology, advancement, and entrepreneurship occurs because of our University education system that is laid upon a free market that allows for risk takers to flourish. But a risk taker without a proper education is worthless. Yes, there are exceptions, like Bill Gates who dropped out of college. But the vast majority of industries need highly educated individuals who can think critically and have a formal University education. The fact that a HUMANITIES class is directing the education of students that are enrolled in the class is absolutely normal. To think otherwise is ridiculous. Don't attack the University. They are providing the arena for learning and understanding. If a student enters into a place where a particular topic isn't appropriate, it's the student's responsibility to figure that out. |
