I hope Caldwell is working on Sunday!
Seriously though, this is a guy who would have been in high demand had he been a UFA this past off season. We need to get him. Why Caldwell didn't jump at the chance to trade a mid to late round pick for him is baffling. Steelers just gave Browns a 2018 6th round pick for a former 1st round CB (Justin Gilbert). Caldwell couldn't do something similar for Sitton before he hit the open market?? If we do pick him up, it will be interesting to see who gets cut. They could probably cut OT Pat Omameh, since Joeckel would become the extra reserve OT. P.S. Don't be surprised if the Titans or Colts snatch him up ahead of us, which would suck. New Orleans is my other guess. |
