ISIS receives funding through the oil trade, oil which they procured after we abandoned a destabilized Iraq. Donald Trump said if we would have guarded the oil, since the Iraqi military obviously cant, then ISIS would have never grown to the level it is today.

 

If we would have never invaded Iraq, and Saddam still controlled the oil, we wouldn't have to worry about a rogue terror organization gaining control. The counter-argument here is that instead of a rogue terror organization, we would have an authoritative dictator in charge, but it is widely debated as to which is worse: Saddam's rule of Iraq with an iron fist, or the extremely violent and international terror organization ISIS.
