Analyzing UCF vs South Carolina for Blake Bortles
|
Quote:He isn't a first round talent. Todd McShay is smoking wacky weed. Finally someone agrees with me being a short QB is OK. However, that 5-9 quarterback needs to be faster than his wide receivers to avoid getting hit all the time and still needs to weigh over 200 pounds to take lots of hits. I would not say a quarterback's size means nothing. Not all short quarterbacks are like Doug Flutie. But I do think QB size is overrated because I am only 5-3, so it looks crazy to me when people say 6-1 is short lol. Strength and athleticism are very important considerations, however. A weak quarterback can't make people miss tackles to avoid a sack. Athleticism means he can do a lot more than simply call plays and throw the ball; he can do everything. |
