Personally, I will not respect anyone not standing. It's their right to so, and it's mine to think as well or say they are being [BAD WORD REMOVED] holes on the anniversary of one of the worst day in our history.
 

I was about to post the same exact thing. 9/11 was a day everyone white, black, mexican, Jews, Christians, Atheist, etc came together. Everyone should have stood for that purpose.
Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.
