Here is my overreaction mock draft to week 1.

 

Round 1. Charles Harris, LEO, Missouri- Pass rush seems like it's going to be an issue this season. Enter Harris, who can come off the edge and gives another pass rusher to add to Fowler and Ngakoue. Keep drafting them until you hit on them.

 

Round 2. Eddie Jackson SS, Alabama- Cyp is inconsistent and I dont see him being re-signed unless it is for cheap. While Jackson isn't the prototypical SS for the scheme, he is physical and can cover way better than Cyp could dream of.  

 

Round 3. Nico Siragusa OG, SDSU- While Joeckel played better than expected Sunday, guard still needs to be addressed. I dont know if Joeckel will re-sign as a guard when some team will give him another shot at tackle. Plug and play at LG.

 

Round 4. Sony Michel RB, UGA- Overshadowed by Chubb at Georgia, but is a fantastic player in his own right. Is versatile and will be the #3 back until Ivory's age gets the best of him. The Denard experiment at rb is over.

 

Round 5. Mason Cole OT, Michigan- Need to improve the depth behind Parnell and Beachum.

 

Round 6. Calvin Munson LB, SDSU- Putting quality bodies behind Poz and Skuta. I expect the nickel LBs to eventually be Smith and Jack this season. We have other needs to fill early in the draft.

 

Round 7. Elijah Qualls NT, Washington- Big body to develop behind Miller for a year or 2.
