US and Russia have negotiated a cease fire. What do you know? The terrorist organizations are not cooperating, and the US refuses to label certain groups as terrorists, namely Ahrar al sham. You should also note in this article they say that Ahrar al sham gets most funding from Qatar. This is how the US is supporting them. The US has given military aide to them through the Gulf states and Turkey. This explains the US reluctance to agree that they are a terrorist organization, indistinguishable from ISIS, because that implies the obvious; the US would be admitting that it has been working with terrorist groups in the Syrian conflict. |
