Fire Gus Bradley (MERGED)
|
Quote:My initial thought about all the 'fire Gus' talk is that it's a 'knee jerk' reaction to what was essentially grossly inflated expectations from the fans due to the team over hyping the new talent acquired since last season. While there is a fair amount of truth to this, it isn't the whole picture. The Jags were in a losing slump (mostly due to poor drafting by our former GM) prior to his (Gus Bradley) coming here. We then completly gutted the roster and started over, essentially from scratch. It takes time to acquire talent so for the past few years Gus has had a 'free pass' due to the team being in 'rebuild mode'. However, it is generally agreed that the team now has the talent to be competitive; perhaps not ready for the play-offs just yet, but nevertheless good enough to turn in at least an 8-8 season this year. We are once again starting the season 0-2. While the loss to Green Bay was disappointing, at least it was to a probable super bowl contender. And though we lost that game, at least we were 'in it' until the end of the game.I honestly cannot tell if you are being sarcastic or not. Since you created such a long post I'll assume you are being for real... Dude, you sound like me last year. You do realize this is year four and we look just as bad as year one? I have faught the good fight for Gus and his scheme and it is time to go. San Diego is not good. Rivers is good but they lost more games than we did last year. They were drafting ahead of us. It reminded me of the year we opened with Kansas City. They drafted 1 we drafted 2 and it was supposed to be a barometer for where the two teams were. A good way to gauge each teams talent. Well they mop the floor with us. Just like yesterday. This team is bad cause of the coaching. I gave them a pass until the acquired the talent. Well the talent is there and the same mistakes exist. That was literally one of the worst losses ever for this franchise. And the funny part is San Diego looked like the 90's cowgirls yesterday and next week they'll get whipped easily by whoever they play. Time to wake up my friend. We have been duped. It's better to see if Marrone can salvage the season. If not, start over. I'm tired of giving Gus these extremely low expectations that he has yet to meet. Then once he finally meets them, he gets absolved of his sins. No time to move on. He's had his chance. Time to let the next guy get a shot. If he makes 8-8 lol. Sounds like Gabbert "well he finally threw for 200 yards this game" lol Time to move past this line of thinking. He had time and it looks the same with different players. It actually looks worse cause we won our second game last year *end rant* |
