You keep telling yourself we can't. We are playing a defense that is half the 3-4 and half 4-3. We will disagree on Telvin ability to play ilb. I think he can and his speed would be an asset in the middle of the field. Poz played in a 3-4 in buffalo if for not 5 years than 4...


He's old anyway. I wouldn't design the scheme around his skill set. He would either take his role or get gone.

 

I agree that we have the front in Malik/Roy/Odrick. 

 

It's the LBs that's the problem and where we disagree. 3-4 features and glorifies the LBs. The two ILBs need to be able to take on blockers and stop the run game. The two OLBs need to be able to rush, occasionally cover. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, but there's no way I run a 3-4 featuring Telvin and Jack in the middle.
