Bortles needs to be able to check out of situations like this, and Linder has to help out with making sure players block the right guy. I am not sure, but maybe the offense is giving out some major tells that it is about to be a run play. Maybe Bortles has his tongue stick out to the left on running plays, and to the right on passing plays. 
 

I don't get the impression that the play-calling in general is helping much for any player, and I don't understand why Bortles hasn't matured to where he can appropriately audible when needed (like to a pass when there's 8 men in the box and you know your running play is doomed).
