Quote:I'm a fan of TC. I just think he's a dinosaur in today's NFL. All good points. But I don't think anyone hires a 70-year old as a long-term strategy. You do it to win...now. At this point, I'm over player's coaches. I'd rather have have a disciplinarian/serious-minded authoritarian type, ala Coughlin/Belichick, to "whip" this team into shape. Certainly that will rub some players in the locker room the wrong way, and perhaps alienate some of them. So be it. They know where the door is. Ex: There's literally a ping-pong table in the locker room. This is not a tech start-up, it's an NFL franchise. Good football coaches get the most they can out of the roster they have. If that's 7-9 or 8-8, it is what it is. One thing that's painfully clear at this point: The Jaguars, based on their talent level, are clear underachievers.
